HI Guys
I am struggling to find how to add a new profile.
I have no profile badge and no access via normal settings!
I can see my own profile using flags brave://settings/manageProfile
But this only shows my current one and no option to add one!
Why is my badge and menu not allowing me to view or add profiles
I have tried creating a shortcut but it does nothing the guest works but opens a incognito window not hat i want.

We can use the keyboard shortcut Control + Shift + m to get and choose the profile but, the profile icon in the top bar does not stay permanently as earlier. This is observed only after the latest upgrade of brave-browser in Ubuntu 24.04. The version having this issue is →
Version 1.77.95 Chromium: 135.0.7049.52 (Official Build) (64-bit) .
This is not a solution but, a work around to choose the profile. The actual issue is, the “profile” icon is missing in the top-bar. We earlier used to click this profile icon to select another profile that was configured. Now we are left with only the keyboard shortcut.
To clarify here, for the people encountering this, do you already have additional profiles created? Or do you only have one profile?
Additionally, what happens if you use the main menu to add a new profile (which also displays the profile menu in general)? Main menu --> More tools --> Add profile:
New user here, so I noticed the issue when creating a new profile. Adding profiles works fine, but here’s what the top right of the window looks like:
The avatar icon is missing and clicking where it’s supposed to be does nothing. However the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-Shift-M properly opens the avatar menu (and shows the avatar icon):
Thank you all for the information. Can anyone here still encountering this issue please confirm whether or not they’re using the Snap or Flatpak version (as opposed to using the curl in Terminal to install as per our Linux install page)?
I just tried again after removing ~/.config/BraveSoftware and ~/.cache/BraveSoftware and importing no settings. Still no avatar icon (with more than 1 profile). My OS theme is just the standard dark theme from Manjaro, but I noticed other people affected are using different distros (Fedora and Ubuntu). Oh, it’s Gnome desktop, just in case.
