Problems with i7 Laptop and Brave Browser. Any Advice?

I’m experiencing some issues with my i7 laptop while using Brave Browser, and I’m hoping someone here can help.

Here’s my setup:

  • i7 Laptop: Intel Core i7 processor with standard RAM and storage.
  • Brave Browser: Brave Browser (Version 1.57)

The Issues:

  1. Performance Drops: The Brave Browser (Version 1.57) occasionally lags or freezes, even with just a few tabs open. My i7 laptop usually handles tasks smoothly, so this is unexpected.
  2. Compatibility Glitches: Certain websites seem to render incorrectly or have issues when loaded in Brave Browser (Version 1.57), which isn’t something I experience in other browsers on the same laptop.
  3. Resource Usage: I’ve noticed that Brave Browser can sometimes spike CPU usage, causing the fan to kick in more often than usual.

Steps Taken So Far:

  • Cleared the browser cache and disabled extensions to rule out any conflicts.
  • Checked for updates to ensure I’m running the latest version of Brave (Version 1.57).
  • Ran diagnostics on my laptop, and everything else seems to be functioning normally.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with an i7 laptop and Brave Browser? Any suggestions on improving performance, fixing compatibility issues, or reducing resource usage? I’d really appreciate any advice you can share!
