Problems creating shortcuts with Brave Desktop (Linux MInt)

PROBLEM CREATING SHORTCUTS: DESKTOP: LINUX
Ever since the last update to Brave, I haven’t been able to create a shortcut in the proper manner to which I once was able to.

Please fix this issue on the next Linux Update Please.
Linux Information:
Cinnamon 4.4.8 wm: muffin dm: LightDM Distro: Linux Mint 19.3 Tricia base: Ubuntu 18.04 bionic

Creating Shortcuts:
I followed the proper method.

  1. ||| Click the horizontal 3 lines.
  2. More Tools.
  3. Create shortcut…

Result:
It creates a shortcut with a page document logo. When you open the shortcut, it opens a generic Brave Browser Page, not the assigned URL to which you create from.
Brave Version: (v 1.33.106): Linux
Linux Information:

Additional Information:
On the previous version of Brave this issue did not happen.

Not entirely sure I’m understanding your issue – but if you right-click the ‘app’ icon in brave://apps, do you get the option to ‘Open as window’?

If so, and if you check that, does that give you the desired behavior?

In this article(spanish sorry), It is explained.

You have to choose the correct distro for donwload but always works better the code than graphic interface, that is my experience. Anyway in Linux I always try to install any program into a virtual box first.
