How do I disable the ads that pop up in the bottom right corner ever once in a while that makes a loud noise and block part of the screen?
go to brave://rewards and disable it, i think you also should disable sponsored images here:

That’s Brave Ads. Opt-in, private, and user get rewarded with BAT.
notification sound can be disabled for brave or any other program by hovering over the notification panel then clickin the gear icon to turn off the notification sound !
