I’ve been using Brave for 5 years. I used to get payouts of up to 17-20 bat a month. Over the past year in the 5-8 range. This month I got 1 bat. That seems incredibly low considering I use Brave on 3 different computers that I use in different places. I’m getting served many ads every hour. I am getting lots of ads when I am using my computers. Why am I only getting 1 bat? I’m puzzled how my payout is so low. This is way too little for the number of ads I do get. The only thing that makes sense is that somehow the ads aren’t being registered.
What Operating System and Brave version are you using? (Menu --> Help --> About Brave)
I have two computers with Mac OS I use in different rooms. A Macbook pro and a Mac mini. And also a Windows 11 PC.

I agreed. I had collet more than 170 ads only my mobile and others devices about 50 ads. And today when they deposited…a shame 0,250 bat!

We are being ripped off by the team. I got got havled from 9-10 then from 5-8. then down to 2. This latest round .85 BAT, For the folks that have been supporting BAT, this is disgraceful. I reached out and the went to hiding the estimated amount and went to a differnt ayw of measuring. Didnt edplaing the month previous before they made some switch. Then the support team ghosted me. I am done being nice and cordial. F’ this team, F BAT. Selling all my BAT.
I use brave on 4 different devices. On 3 devices I do not see more how much I earn but only the sum of the ads received. Only on 1 disositive I still display the number of bat earned in the month. This device indicated 0.900 BAT, so I should have received 0.900 + BAT earned on the other devices. Instead I only received 0,900! Even I long ago earned from 5 to 10 BAT per month but now they have reduced a lot the advertisements of the news and notification. Lately it is difficult to earn even 1 full BAT
Its this new system, we’re not getting paid for Brave ads any more and if you’re not in the US, you won’t see many, if any, third party ads. I just made another post on the same topic. . I too, have been with Brave >5 years. In terms of privacy its great (although now widely offered elsewhere); but in terms of rewards, it turned from a unique and fantastic concept, to massively disappointing.
It is a joke. I won’t be using the Ads any more. From when I started using it in 2021, it has gone a high of 23 BAT received in Oct 2023 to then slowly down to 2.4 in Nov 2024, 1.4 in Dec 2024, and finally 0.7 this month.
Yeah, it’s pretty much non-existent now. I’ll probably carry on using it as the adblocker is really good but I’m not really bothering with the homepage ads any more.
Which I’m guessing was the aim all along, the BAT was really just to get people used to using it.
I didn’t write the post you’re responding too. But, speaking for myself the main reason I’ve used Brave for 6 years is the free Bat. Yes, it was never much but I always just convert it into other crypto as I think BAT is pretty useless on its own.
The Brave browser is a pretty subpar experience overall and I wouldn’t use it except for being able to make a little free BAT on the side. And, yes I understand the point is privacy but the reality is that there are other browsers that have nearly caught up. Why suffer with this subpar experience if I don’t have too?
@Apiney and others, things often vary. As a starting point, I’d suggest you to read through everything I shared at Saoiray's Discussion about Rewards payout amounts as it may give some insight. Or at least help to have a good basis on discussion.
slice was consistently better all of last year. with no custodians, no kyc, user initiated payouts. if it worked on mobile it would be the winner all around.
I agree with you… Lately the rewards are non-existent, they have been decreasing month by month, now they no longer tell you the amount, they tell you the number of ads you see, on December 24 in my case there were 460 ads, for which I received the ridiculous sum of 0.438 BAT, my average was 2 BAT every month… it seems that this rewards thing is no longer real.
Obviously I really like Brave, beyond the rewards, it is an excellent browserthat protects your privacy as much as possible.
