Page not loading unless adblock Shield setting is off. (Tamriel Trade Center)

Description of the issue:
User reported on Reddit. Issue is site won’t load content unless you permit ads. Investigated and it seems they are trying to prevent adblockers and insist on “donations” or viewing ads to access content. Was only able to see this notice when trying to access on Chrome. Brave had blocked this notification.

Exact URL of the website in question:
https://us.tamrieltradecentre.com/pc/Trade/SearchResult?ItemID=2856&ItemNamePattern=Riften+Rye

However you can go to https://us.tamrieltradecentre.com/ and click on PC, then any item you click will be stuck on a page where you see Waiting for Ads to load.

What is interesting is if I choose Xbox One or Playstation and then on items, it will load properly.

Did the issue present with default Shields settings? (yes/no)

Yes, issue is present both with regular Shield settings and with me using Fanboy Annoyance List.

Does the site function as expected when Shields are turned off?

Yes, turning off Shields for the page results in everything loading.

Is there a specific Shields configuration that causes the site to break? If so, tell us that configuration. (yes/no):

Yes, Shields must be set to block Trackers & Ads. If this is turned off, the page loads properly. Adjusting Fingerprinting or Cookies has no effect and will result in it not loading. This is purely just the site forcing ads to display.

Does the site work as expected when using Chrome?

Umm, yes and no. As I went to test this on Chrome, I was able to see a paywall message pop up despite having AdBlock and uBlock running. Screenshot below of the notice given.

Brave version (check About Brave):

Version 1.40.109

Yeah, not an easy fix. uBO is using removeparm() which is unsupported currently.

Yeah, even uBlock couldn’t stop ads. It was doing the whole “create an account and donate money to us OR allow ads to continue” type of thing with it. I hate that stuff, always love to bypass.

In any case, I linked this topic to the people who mentioned this as an issue. Just for clarification:

Are you saying not really able to do anything about it at all? Or are you just saying it’s just going to be time consuming and something you might look at when not busy with other more important issues?

Might find a way, but the ads will show though
