Onion address from normal tabs

Currently, if you try to open an .onion address from a normal tab, a connection error will be displayed without any suggestion that it may work from a Private Tor Enabled Window.

Is there anything you can do to improve the experience for .onion addresses ? At least display a button on the error page that would open the address from a tor session ?

Browsing privacy friendly .onion addresses should be as easy as navigating normal web, not harder.

I see that there is already some discussion about that https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/806 Any chance this can get more attention ?

Thanks.

Generally, the best way to make a suggestion is comment once on GitHub. If someone else has already proposed the thing you’d like to see, add a thumbs-up emoji to their comment rather than saying “+1” or words to that effect. Opening a thread here is fine if you’d like to discuss things with other people who enjoy Brave, but there’s no need to make a thread if there’s already an issue for your suggestion. It won’t lead to changes happening any faster.
