No voice typing in brave [ISSUE]

hi folks
i trying documents or even in another site to voice typing like https://speechnotes.co/es/ And I can’t do any voice dictation in brave, I have the microphone activated on the page and everything enabled, I even deactivate the brave shields but I press on the microphone it turns red but it says that nothing is heard …

Is there a solution (I used it a lot on a daily basis in my work)

In chrome if it works perfect

Thank you for reaching out to us.
On the site, can you try with everything normal (Shields = up, mic permissions allowed, etc) but also enable Autoplay for the site and test to see if this works?

If you’re unsure of how to do this:

  1. Visit https://speechnotes.co/es/
  2. Click on the Lock icon in the address bar, then Site settings
  3. Scroll down until you see the Autoplay permission
  4. Set this permission to Allow
  5. Refresh the page and test to see if the issue persists

Actually scratch that above post – doing some digging on this, thank you for your patience.

ok thanks for the answer.

i did everithing but the autoplay it was alloas as default, the mic its allowed too, shield’s up and still the same no change at all _:frowning:

Yeah it looks like I can reproduce the issue as well. I’ve reached out to the team for more information here and hope to have a reply soon. If we cannot find a solution I will log the issue on our Github for the developers to review and fix.
