GOOGLE DOCS: Voice Typing - not working

Issue:
google docs voice typing is not working - microphone access is displayed to work (animated icon on the tab) but audio is not accessed by the site (works in chrome with the below mentioned steps)

Steps to Reproduce:
1= disabling all shield settings for google docs,
2) accepted access to Microphone
3) and using https://docs.google.com/
4) opening a new document and activating:
5) Tools > Voice typing
6) clicking on the microphone -mic symbol on docs turns red (recording), animated icon in the tab shows active mic access but no audio is transcripted

Actual Result:

page stays empty. no error message etc.

Expected result:
smooth audio transcript for voice typing

Reproduces how often: 10 times, different computers, all latest brave and disabled shield.

Operating System and Brave Version: Mac OS 10.14.6 (18G95) - Version 0.68.132 Chromium: 76.0.3809.132 (Official Build) (64-bit)
