Description of the issue: brave is supposed to let me check out amazon (or other websites that profile me) freely without tracking or signing in.
However, only the web search is private. Clicking on amazon links from startpage results will open the app (full of trackers) and not amazon on web (with brave shields).
This is broken by design.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):
0. Install amazon app + sign in (for my main account + notifications).
- Search on brave using startpage/DuckDuckGo “amazon” + product name.
2.click on a result from amazon
3.observe how the app is opened instead of browsing in brave, with signed-out session. amazon tracks the view…
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!): amazon app opens (deep linking).
Expected result: browsing in web
Reproduces how often: every time.
