Needs Boolean criteria

Google and StartPage handle AND, OR, NOT (-), and EXACTLY (""). These are a sine qua non for efficient searching, but I can find no indication that Brave does.

Hey @cem ! Welcome to the community

We can make this thread a feature request

If that means you will enable Boolean Search, then YES, DO IT.

If I cannot search for exact strings e.g. ā€œexact stringsā€ or exclude sites e.g. fakebook, abc, nbc, msnbc, fox, nytimes, et al then I may as well let google spy on me.

Is there any movement on this? So far Brave Search is the best non-tracking search engine Iā€™ve found, but the fact that I canā€™t precisely control my search results is a huge downside, and keeps me from recommending it to others. Would love to hear this will be a feature soon!

Over a year since we heard from @Support @GreenBananaPorridge so I guess holding your breath is NOT a good idea.

I seriously cannot believe users arenā€™t screaming for this functionality. I keep searching for ā€œBrave search modifiersā€ (~once per month) and canā€™t find anythingā€¦ Surely Iā€™m simply overlooking it.? There are ZERO search modifiers in Brave? I thought it was built on Chromium and therefore would have the same search modifiers as Chrome.? I guess notā€¦

@apwkdtb - With you, that makes a total of four people that want this. Ming boggling isnā€™t it?
