Need help in restoring from a folder backup

  • ii. Your Brave Version- 1.63.169 Chromium: 122.0.6261.111 (Official Build) unknown (64-bit)

  • step-by-step instructions of how I came across the issue.
    Example:

    • I zipped the entire BraveSoftware folder from my existing linux installation of brave.
    • I copied the same to an external drive.
    • I installed the latest version of brave for linux on another distro.
    • I extracted the backed up folder containing all data.
    • I started up brave for the first time on the new distro.
    • However, no data was restored or asked for restoration.
