Mouse forward and back keys not working correctly in Brave only

Description of the issue:
When using Brave the forward / back keys on my mouse now open the user pane and bookmarks page.
Mouse is MX Master and the keys have not been bound in the logitech software
Issue is not present in other browsers (vivaldi, edge)
Has only started happening in the last day or 2.
Issue has persisted through browser restart, reset and system restarts.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open brave
  2. Use mouse keys for navigation

Expected result:
Webpages should go back / forward as per the buttons in the browser.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
v1.59.117

Issue seems to have self rectified following a windows update.
Not sure what the solution was in the end.
