Just a reminder that this issue still stands and has not been fixed in quite a while.
As stated in a couple of forum posts which were close due to inactivity.
Expected behavior:
Profile switcher icon has to be on the toolbar when multiple browser profiles are present.
Current behavior:
Profile switcher icon is missing on the toolbar when multiple browser profiles are present (replaced by a blank space)
I avoid explaining in further details and quote these posts since the issue is well-known and reported multiple times before:
New user here, so I noticed the issue when creating a new profile. Adding profiles works fine, but here’s what the top right of the window looks like:
[Screenshot 1]
The avatar icon is missing and clicking where it’s supposed to be does nothing. However the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-Shift-M properly opens the avatar menu (and shows the avatar icon):
[Screenshot 2]
While the profile “card” is opened, clicking the avatar icon works: it hides the the menu… as well as the icon, so back to square …

Description of the issue:
When I start the browser, I see all of my Brave profiles available. However, once I click and open a profile, the profile icon doesn’t appear, and I can’t see the option to switch profiles on the window.
Unless I close the current window & restart the browser & see the options of available profiles, I can’t switch to other profiles otherwise.
How can this issue be reproduced?

For years I have used the Profile button toolbar to switch between profiles. Suddenly it’s gone. I asked AI (including Leo) and ALL instructions I get are wrong, it says click on Settings and select ‘Profiles’ from side bar. No such thing.
How do i get the profile button back on Toolbar?
thanks

### Description
After upgrading to Brave 1.78.97, the profile switcher menu is … no longer present in the tool bar.
I tried to look for a setting - in case it's now configurable and by default off - but could find none.

3. Look for the profile switcher menu in the top right corner, between address bar and "hamburger menu"
