Hello,

For the last couple of months, I’ve been having issues with keeping MeWe online… It keeps crashing (see screenshot). No other internet platform does this, only MeWe, and it’s frustrating!

I have contacted MeWe Support and none of their suggestions have worked.

I need Brave support to help me out, please. MeWe is the platform where I have 20+ educational communities which I manage daily and frustration is not the word I have in mind at this point. :grimacing:

Hello - Have you tried adjusting any of the Shields settings? Do you see an improved experience in a Private Window?

Any recent crash logs available at brave://crashes

I’m 67 years old, use a computer, and have no clue what you’re stating as ‘shield settings,’ can you kindly please walk me through it? Thanks.

Your Shields settings can be found under the Brave logo to the right of your address bar.

Do you have many active tabs open at once?

I turn off shields up on MeWe tab/link. I’ll try and see if it makes a difference.

I have several tabs open, however, the only one that crashes constantly is MeWe and not any other, therefore, what’s the difference with MeWe, please?
I’m now reducing my open tabs and still gave me the crashing issues.
I’m following today the suggestion of having the Shields off for MeWe and wee what happens and I’ll let you know.

If it’s a Memory/RAM issue on your device, you may see an improved experience if you use the Memory Saver feature listed here: brave://settings/system

Brave frees up memory from inactive tabs. This gives active tabs and other apps more computer resources and keeps Brave fast. Your inactive tabs automatically become active again when you go back to them.

UPDATE:

Nope, nothing, zip… none of these suggestions have worked for my crashing issue of one link, MeWe. The other links never crash. I tested it one way not opening MeWe and opening several tabs with different platforms. Not once did I had a crash with any of them. I have had only MeWe tab open and boom the crash began as always, so, I’m not a high tech scientist but MeWe is it and only it!

At this point, I don’t know what else to do.

As I mentioned before, I always clean up my computer’s cache, cookies, etc. with various clean up apps at least twice a day and yet MeWe’s mystery keeps growing larger than life. :person_shrugging::person_facepalming:
