I am currently using Brave Version 1.8.95 Chromium: 81.0.4044.138 (Official Build) (64-bit). I would like to update to the latest version - V1.9.80. I skipped previous updates, so I seem to have to update my browser manually.
If I download the installer for macOS found on the Brave website and replace my 1.8.95 version with the latest version, will I lose my current browser settings, bookmarks, saved passwords, etc.?

Re-running the installer may cause some issues. Is there a reason why you want to do it this way?
Also, you may want to back up your Default folder. You can find it here:
Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/
The Default folder is your main profile, it contains all your info, e.g history, extensions, bookmarks, etc.
