macOS built in text expansion not working in entry fields in Brave

Description of the issue:
I work a lot in browser windows in relation to work. I have therefore added several text expansion snippets in the built in function supported by macOS (System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Text). The text expansion doesn’t work while working in text input fields in the Brave browser.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

  1. Add a any text expansion criteria in the above mentioned settings
  2. Try to use the text expansion in any input field in Brave browser (such as this topic entry).

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

Text does not expand.

Expected result:

Expect (i.e) the keyword EJ to expand to Exchange Journal upon entering EJ followed by a space.

Reproduces how often:

Every time
