Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Open any website (roamresearch.com; ai.glossika.com; etc.).
- Try typing ã õ ñ in any text-input area with any keyboard layout (US; Brazilian; Spanish). The way to do so is ⌥n + letter.
- Nothing happens.
Expected result:
Typing ⌥n + a should give “ã”. Typing ⌥n + o should give “õ”. Typing ⌥n + n should give “ñ”.
(I was only able to insert these characters here by copying and pasting.)
Brave Version( check About Brave
):
Version 1.24.85 Chromium: 90.0.4430.212 (Official Build) (x86_64)
Additional Information:
MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
3.1 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 1536 MB
MacOS 11.3.1 (20E241)
Other diacritics work correctly:
- ⌥e + letter: áéíóú
- ⌥` + letter: àèìòù
- ⌥i + letter: âêîôû
(I input these here in the textbox in Brave using keyboard shortcuts, and they work fine with the US, Brazilian, and Spanish keyboard layouts. No problem there.)
Also, ⌥n + letter works correctly in Safari when using the same text fields, the same keyboard layouts, and the same keyboard shortcut entry. This makes me think that Brave is not recognizing the input of that specific diacritic.
This may be a problem on other operating systems, but I have no way to test.
Thank you for your attention and consideration.
