I’m not able to find my Brave Profile or any user data associated with my brave browser installation. I have 1 user profile on Brave and a metamask extension.
I was told to navigate to ‘/Users/[You]/Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware/’ and I don’t have any /Brave or /Bravesoftware directory.
I cannot located my Profile 1 on my macbook and have been looking for the last 2 days. Can someone please help me…??
I think this might of wiped out my ‘Account id’ which is used for my metamask login - so I can’t log into my metamask wallet which is the browser extension on Brave.
Is there any way to recover the /AppData directory for Brave Browser…?

There’s NO Brave Software browser installation anywhere on my macbook and it is very alarming. How can I restore my browser installation location…? I read a bunch of posts where Brave Browser corrupts or deletes user data.

Unfortunately, that directory does Not exist on my laptop so that’s why I’m suspecting some data deletion issues with Brave Browser.

Just confirming, you also lost your bookmarks/browsing history/etc., correct?
I’m guessing your profile directory is not just hidden at the moment, since you wouldn’t have lost any data otherwise. But just to make sure:
cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser
in Terminal gives you cd: no such file or directory, right?
I’m also wondering if the directory is still in your Trash, and if so, what the Date Added column says — if you can’t see this column, switch to list view (Cmd + 2), and add it from the context menu by right clicking on the column headers at the top.
Thanks for your email - this has cleared up 1 thing - using the terminal shell I was able to navigate to cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser - which is amazing!
When I was using the Finder window - I’m not able to navigate to the /Library directory…? In order to use the tool to restore my metamask vault - there is where I need to navigate to using the Finder window.
