**Description of the issue:**It was just another day. I turned my laptop on, and all the brave profiles were gone. on the previous day, there were four profiles logged in and working fine; suddenly, all browser data was lost. How can this issue be reproduced?
I Don’t know how it can be reproduced, it was not intentional or i didn’t do anything different
Expected result: I want my lost data to be restored.
Brave Version( check About Brave): Version 1.68.141 Chromium: 127.0.6533.120 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Yes, all the data is there, all the profiles folders are there but brave don’t show any profile up. I’ve reading it’s a chromium feature released issue that happens to some users after updates get installed but I removed the last brave version and installed the previous brave version Release v1.68.145 (Chromium 127.0.6533.120), it didn’t show up any profiles and got updated.
I’ve thinking about removing this brave and installing the Beta or Nightly editions… to see if any of those recognize all the profiles.
I saw somewhere that later the profiles may show up, so I’m moving the key ones I need to Chrome hoping to get them back in Brave at any point in the future. I did around $70 using Brave for more than 1 year but now I lost all my customers accesses… so, it’s not worth for me the risk… I may move to Chrome permanently if there is no way to get the Profiles back knowing it can happen in the future again. The question is if it can happen in Chrome… that would be terrible… there should be a way to restore Profiles specifically when this happens… not moving Profiles but fix those that go away but still are there in their folders. What a shame.
Would you be able to start Brave from Command Prompt via "C:/Program Files/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/Application/brave.exe" --enable-logging --v=1 and then share with me the resulting chrome_debug.log (in %localappdata%/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/User Data) in DM?
Except for default, my profiles have disappeared.
I checked, and the numbered subdirectories for user-created profiles have disappeared from “[user]\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data”.
I had been using them fine only a few hours ago, with no reboot, sleep, or reset of any kind. !!!
