Lost All Bookmarks After Jan Update. Still No Solution

I’m back trying again. No help here from last post in Jan.

Lost all my bookmarks after the Jan 03 update. SInce then I stopped using Brave until I could find a solution. I was too afraid to change anything and lose all that work.

Someone here suggested looking in

/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/Default

But there’s only 1 bookmark I made as a test after I lost everything.

I lost many years of work. Brave is a big disappointment. No support or suggestions here either.

Yeah, but you learned valuable lesson to make backups. Or maybe not…

Snark seems to be the only response we can muster here. It would be nicer to find some support instead.

Never in my life have I ever even thought of, or had to backup bookmarks. I used Safari or Chrome. I guess Brave doesn’t have that built-in? or maybe the updates are just garbage. Not sure. But I have had to migrate back to Safari. Way more reliable for me.

What exactly should be build-in? Sync √. Bookmarks export √. What else? Backups? Your computer could be hit by asteroid tomorrow, Snark. Make backups.
