Linux - Rectangle around menus when no compositing UI

Hello Community!

Since the updated version delivered today, my brave browser started to present a black rectangle around all menus. See picture in the link above:

Seems that is something that only happens if you are using an UI without compositing. Is there a way to go back or disable compositing? Software needs to work fine with or without compositing enabled on your desktop environment.

Exact same thing happened to me too right after update to 1.67.116.

I had to go back as far as 1.66.118 to cure the problem.
