@ZippoMoon, there is a workaround for this, if you just keep visiting a site, it will show up in the top sites list then you can pin it there.
but i agree it would be much easier if we could just add them

Hi All,
For everyone out there reading this,… I have signed into the forums just to post this same topic, I’m also in favor to have a CUSTOM amount of top sites from the home page… someone is saying this feature has been requested 2 yrs back and still nothing ??
I have also posted the same as part of another thread about the same.

Problem with that is that I just read Brave wants to remove the ‘pin option’ when they do redo the software around the tiles
