On my up to date macbook air I have trouble clicking on links. It seems to me that the browser doesn’t recognise my first click and I almost always have to click again. This doesn’t happen on other browsers or applications (they are more sensitive to my clicks :). It is as if there is an invisible screen protector after a couple of seconds of inactivity and I have to get rid of it first.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using any kind of 3rd party/custom mouse?

@Mattches, No, it is the macbook trackpad. It happens more on some particular websites so I wonder if it’s due to website interfaces.
