Description of the issue:

Lastest Brave update broke the LastPass browser extension.
The LastPass.com browser extension will not open or allow any interaction whatsoever. This obligates users to either migrate to a different browser or a different password manager.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Install lastpass browser extension
  2. Click on lastpass extension
  3. extension will fail to expand login modal

Expected result:

Browser extension should open and be accessible.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Brave version 1.67.123

Additional Information:

For many users this is a critical concern.

I confirm the exact same behaviour.

Brave version:
Version 1.67.134 Chromium: 126.0.6478.186 (Official Build) (arm64)

LastPass Chrome Extension:
Version 4.132.0 downloaded from Chrome Web Store

If I click on the LastPass extension, now I just see a “white square”, see screenshot:

Before the latest Brave version update, LastPass was working fine.

Same issue here might migrate away from Lastpass but would like a fix in the meantime.
