Description of the issue:
Hey, I’m on Debian 10, and Brave has been working flawlessly for me. However, when I go to full screen on YouTube videos, I takes 20 seconds just to do so, and another 20 just to exit out. By comparison, Firefox is almost instant when going full screen. Any ideas why? It’s not the shields, extensions, or hardware acceleration. If this is fixed, I’ll happily ditch Firefox for Brave. Thanks in advance.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Go to a YouTube video
- Go to full screen
- Lag is experienced, which can last up to 20 seconds in my case.
Expected result:
No lag when going full screen on a YouTube video.

Version 1.7.92 Chromium: 80.0.3987.163 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Additional Information:
I have already tried disabling extensions, Brave shields, and turning on and off hardware acceleration. On Debian 10.
