Issue with YouTube Playback on Brave iOS App When Using Blocklist with Higher Rule Count

Hello Brave Community,

I would like to bring attention to an issue I am experiencing with the Brave app on iOS. When using a blocklist with a higher rule count, I am unable to play YouTube videos, which results in a blank screen.

I have created a video demonstrating the issue with the HaGeZi TIF Medium blocklist, which you can view here: YouTube Video Demonstration.

According to HaGeZi, this may not be a blocklist issue per se, but rather a limitation related to the size of the blocklist. It seems that iOS has a RAM restriction for apps, and blocklists that exceed a certain size (around 300,000 rules) could be causing the playback issue. This problem does not occur with smaller blocklists like Light to Pro++, but becomes apparent with larger ones. HaGeZi also noted that this issue does not occur on Brave for other platforms, suggesting it may be specific to iOS.

I want to bring this issue to the attention of the Brave developers to clarify whether it is indeed related to iOS restrictions. Any insights or recommendations on how to address this problem, particularly regarding the use of large blocklist in mobile browsers on iOS, would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
