I guess there’s been an update to brave, as stuff is moved around now. I’d love to be able to have the “new tab” tab back on the bottom where it used to be. It messes with my organization and I keep trying to close it thinking it’s a tab I am done with, accidentally opening a new tab. I looked in the settings, specifically in Appearance. If this isn’t an option already, can it be a setting to have the option to put it back?

same though, I’ve been having PC issues so I thought it was just me but a restart and it’s still the same and I don’t like it

This change was actually made because many users requested that the new tab button be brought up under currently open tabs, the same way it appears when tabs are horizontal (new tab + button appears directly to the right of the last tab open in view).
What I would recommend is you post this as a Feature Request here on Community instead, suggesting that we include an option to display this button directly under the open tabs (as it is now) or at the bottom of the vertical tab strip. This way, other users can chime in and the team can get a sense of how desired such an option would be and factor that into their consideration.
