Iphone battery drain, abnormal heat when Brave app is open

Hello, I’m running brave on ios 18.3.2 on an iphone 14 plus.
When the Brave app ( v1.76.77, Mar 18, 2025) is running, the left side of the phone (by the volume buttons) begins to get abnormally hot and the battery drops rapidly, especially if Brave is playing video.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but this had no effect. When I deleted the brave app, the phone’s battery drain returned to normal and the heat issue disappeared. In ios settings, brave read as using 70% of my battery.

Also, make sure that you completely Quit apps on the iPhone.

And, when you encounter an issue, be sure to run the iPhone hard restart - TWICE.
