In one case, ad blocking too aggressive

Description of the issue: Simple, non-tracking ads are being blocked on a site I created, with Shields Down.
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Look at booksourcemagazine.com in Brave with Shields Down.
  2. Look at this site in any other browser (I tried Edge). See the difference?

Expected result: These are simple, non-tracking ads. No cookies, just links to the advertisers’ sites.

Brave Version( check About Brave): v1.48.171 (Feb 23, 2023)

Additional Information: Much of this site was written many years ago, and I have not gotten around to making it mobile-friendly as yet (my client is in no hurry). The coding for the ads is plain old HTML, yet Brave adds “display: none !important” to the code. How can I make it not do that?

Didn’t see a difference between aggresive and standard mode, we wern’t targeting the site at the time. Regardless if they’re static, or links, still ads.

A fix on the ads is on its way however.

Thank you, fanboynz.
