Got a new computer and am transferring all my files to it. On my old computer, I have exported my Brave passwords, but I can’t find a way to import those same passwords on my new machine. There are a ton of old message threads on how to do this for previous versions, but none of those work in the current version.
I saw one comment where a person said Brave no longer supports importing .csv files, which seems odd since that is the version Brave exports of it’s own data.
@bnooff go to password manager and choose to import. You should see it in the same place as you did the export. Just keep in mind with the newer one, it’s no longer a hamburger menu. Instead when you go to password manager, hit the settings button on the left side. Then you’ll see it.
Oh my gosh, thank you. I was on that passwords tab so many times looking for some way to import those. I thought clicking settings would just take me back up a level to the overall settings. Seems a poor word choice to call them both “settings” when they are not the same.
