My attempt to import bookmarks from an html file failed. The option to import bookmarks seems to be limited to currently installed browsers. But what about importing bookmarks from an archived *.html file? Surely this is available in Brave, but unlike most other options, this function is not intuitive. Any help would be appreciated.

In the list of installed browsers, you should see an option at the bottom labeled Bookmarks HTML file:
Select this option and choose the html file you’d like to import.
