Can't import bookmarks

Win 8.1
newest release of Brave
Can’t import bookmarks, passwords, etc from Firefox 67,0,4
turned off virus, adblocker, etc
tried importing one thing at a time
looked in Other bookmarks
Nothing is working

Sorry, but this is a dealbreaker for me, as I have hundreds of bookmarks I have to import.

Any help out there?

We have some issues surrounding importing Firefox data at this time. We’re working on getting more data on this issue presently. That said, if you’re only interested in exporting Bookmarks at this time, you can import them as an HTML file from Firefox. Try the following:

  1. In Firefox, go to Menu --> Bookmarks --> Show all bookmarks --> Import/Backup your bookmarks --> Export Bookmarks
  2. Save your bookmarksHTML file somewhere and close FF
  3. Now open Brave, Menu --> Bookmarks --> Import Bookmarks and Settings and select Bookmarks HTML File from the drop-down box.
  4. Select your exported Firefox HTML file

You should be good to go – please let me know if this does not work for you.

Additionally, can you tell me if you have any extensions installed in Brave when trying to import?
