I’ve not been getting any ads again.
I do use a VPN and reported this issue before. All was good for a few weeks, but nothing again since.
Any way to fix it long-term or do I go back to Chrome?

Are ads still available your region https://sampson.codes/brave/ads/my_region/ . Search in Brave community posts for the latest about your country.
