What country are you in?
Are you using a VPN?
Have you installed any new extensions?

I had the same problem.
I am in Chile, working in Ubuntu 14.04 and brave [Version 1.9.76]. I am not using VPN and I have not installed any extension. In addition, today I got minus 0.1 Bat. Yesterday, I got 2.0 and today it is 1.9.

Thank you for the reply! Yes, I am receiving the ads and rewards now , but there was a situation on the last weekend that BATS were reduced from 18.1 BAT to 17.8 BAT and during the weekend ads were coming but not adding.
Now it looks like everything is working…
