I cancelled my free trial of the VPN and I was still charged

Detailed description of the behavior:
On my App Store the subscription trial read cancelled. And yet I was charged 9.99 for a new month of service for the VPN. How do I get my money refunded?

@FredFit your post is a bit confusing. See, you mention Desktop and MacOS but then you talk of app store. If you signed up on Desktop then you would not have paid via app store but would have signed up and paid via https://account.brave.com/

App Store is only for those on mobile devices. So obviously if you signed up via your Brave Account but then never returned there to cancel but instead went to the App Store, this would be an issue.

Beyond that, you see in the template you retained, it tells you:

That ticket link they provide is where you will want to reach out for assistance.

I think what happened was that I continued to sign up from my phone once I received a email confirmation and was redirected on my phone browser. I might’ve signed up again on my laptop because I was trying to sign up there from the start. So I basically signed up in two different ways. Any ideas on how to undo this screw up? I apparently already cancelled the trial on my iOS but the desktop subscription is where I need to cancel now. I’d also like to try to get a refund since I haven’t used the VPN (or browser for that matter).

@FredFit I’d make sure you have it canceled at your account.brave.com if you did set it up there.

But regardless of whether you did just the one subscription or two, I would fill out that ticket form as you have in your initial post and I quoted from you in the prior. This will allow Brave to look into things and better assist you.

Just to be clear, the form has a section that asks for an invoice number. This line is not mandatory. So if you don’t have invoice number, skip it.
