I apparently sent 1 BAT to Brave Software International

Description of the issue: I received an email notification from UPHOLD saying “You sent 1 BAT to Brave Software International.”… I did not recognise this activity so contacted UPHOLD support, who advised to check my AUTO REWARDS settings in Brave, but I have NO auto rewards set up.
How can this issue be reproduced?

Expected result: Why was 1 BAT sent from my account without my authorization and how can it be returned please? see attached screenshot.

@DJC Just want to advise that if you have multiple profiles/devices connected to your Uphold, then it could be possible that’s where it happened. Even if it’s a profile/device you don’t really use. So definitely check all of them if you haven’t.

Beyond that, it’s essentially as SmartyAadi. If you think somehow it took from you and you have it all off, best bet is to create a Rewards Support Ticket at https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001302431 so they can investigate for you.

I will remind you that it’s currently Thursday. It often can take 3-5 business days or so to receive a reply and they aren’t active on the weekend. So while we hope you can hear back quick, be prepared for it to take up to about this time next week, give or take a few days. Also be aware all replies to the ticket will be via your email, so keep an eye there to make sure doesn’t end up in Spam/Junk,.
