It’s been a while and haven’t seen any updates, I know it’s updated very often, so wondering… how does my Brave update itself? Do I need to do manual commands in terminal? As I installed it manually as instructed, my Software app doesn’t see Brave as even being installed, so obviously can’t check for updates.
Can you just confirm please, are you saying there’s no way I can update my Brave installation via GUI process, i have to go into Terminal to keep checking for updates?
That’s a shame if so (I rarely use Terminal, it’s not good for my health, or my machine’s health! )
Ha, looks like I answered this topic myself, thanks to your help above.
I ran updates in the Fedora GUI, and it did actually update Brave, now showing as having 128.1.69.160. So I guess Fedora GUI update process does indeed update Brave. That’s a relief! Thanks very much
i mean it will not show up as an app on the gui (to be more specific it will not show any details about the app like it’s version and other stuff) but when you check for update using the gui it will show up if there are any update same as other app you installed
in other words you can update using the gui or the terminal
the terminal command was to give you the version that you have
cause my reply was 29 days ago so many update released
