Description of the issue:
I’m new to brave (started using it with chromium around 1 week ago)
I usually use double screen with brave on my second screen with a few tabs (1 to 5), including video, music or anything. And use the main screen for gaming.
I recently found out that i had lag spikes (like mouse cursor stops moving or kinda freeze/unfreeze).
This was new and unusual for me on such low spec games (LOL/Dota2/TFT style) and I never had this problem with my setup.
I opened the task manager after closing the game and found out that my CPU usage was jumping between 10 to 50 very frequently (every second or so) which is probably the issue for my lags
Steps to Reproduce :
- Open brave (and a couple of tab)
- Open a game
- Wait to have CPU spikes / lags in game
Note : it seems this builds up with time, doesn’t really happen instantly or all the time
Experience using chrome and brave:
I did an experiment with chrome and brave side by side with the same 4 tabs opened at the same time to compare the results in CPU usage
While brave also needs a lot more CPU it is fluctuating a lot which is why i’m having lag spikes i suppose.
Also it seems that closing and reopening the tabs fix this issue (temporarily).
