Description of the issue:
Since upgrading my laptop to Windows 11, I have been experiencing very high CPU usage. After I stop the process, it runs properly for a short amount of time and then a new process ID starts using a great deal of the CPU until it is stopped. When I do stop the process with high CPU usage, it doesn’t close out any of my tabs or disable any of my extensions, so I can’t pinpoint what the process is.
NOTE: This did not happen on Windows 10
Steps to Reproduce:
I have disabled all of my extensions, restarted the browser many times and of course rebooted the laptop. The only thing I have not done is uninstall Brave because I don’t want to lose my accumulated BAT tokens.
Expected Result:
CPU usage stays low most of time and doesn’t make my laptop fans ramp up and sound like a jumbo jet taking off!
Reproduces how often:
Always
Brave Version:
Version 1.30.87 Chromium: 94.0.4606.71 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Reproducible on current live release (yes/no):
Yes
Additional information:
I’m using Windows 11 x64 OS Build 22000.194
