Description of the issue: I’m having issues with YouTube loading. When I go to the website, I see this screen.
No videos are generated. Strangely, I can see my feed if I click Subscriptions. It may be some sort of wi-fi issue, as I have the same issue on my mobile as well as with Edge.
Exact URL of the website in question: youtube.com
Did the issue present with default Shields settings ? (yes/no) Yes and turning them off yields no change
Does the site function as expected when Shields are turned off? No change if the shields are down. I still have the same issue.
Is there a specific Shields configuration that causes the site to break? If so, tell us that configuration. (yes/no): No, not as far as I noticed
Does the site work as expected when using Chrome?
Brave version (check About Brave
):
Hello @OutsideTalent
go to brave://settings/system
and turn off hardware acceleration and see if it fix or not
if it not then try to check youtube using private mode and disable all extension
if it work then the issue either with one of your extension or you need to clear your cache
hope that help and have a nice day
Weirdly, the first time I did it, it seemed to fix things. But now the problem is back.
Hardware acceleration is off now.
Private mode doesn’t seem to help and I have disabled all extensions.
I’ll try clearing my cache again. Is there anything else I can do to avoid this issue in the future?

@OutsideTalent ,
I would say it’s a cache issue but if you’re seeing this behavior on both Edge and Brave and on mobile/desktop I think the issue may be with your account? If you log out of your account and try to visit Youtube, do you get the same results?
It seems like I don’t have the same problems when I’m logged out.
Hmm, that’s not a good sign.
Still, why does it mostly seem to work when off the wifi at home but not on it?
