Grey background overlay on screen.
When I open some web pages, Brave creates a semi-transparent grey overlay shade over the entire page. The page is still legible, but there is no pop-up dialogue or anything that I could click to remove the shade.
I found an earlier report of the problem where the person noted that this can be solved by disabling hardware acceleration(which now is graphics acceleration) but that didn’t work.

Does your issue occur at all websites or just some?
some
@hema just a quick FYI, when you create a topic there is a template that gets generated. When you chose this category, it should have been template like below:
Does the site function as expected when Shields are turned off?
Does the ad appear when using a Private window as well? (yes/no)
What OS are you using when you see the ad?
Brave version (check About Brave):
The reason why I’m mentioning this is it seems you deleted it and did not provide the details. One of the important parts of this was that it asks you if it works with Shields off. In testing, the answer to that would be yes (though depending on what you’ve done, might have to clear cookies for the site first).
The gray overlay that appears on websites tends to be because of the cookie banner they have, which Brave blocks by default. Some websites try to force users to interact with it. Turning off Shields and then going to the site would result in seeing the below:
Then whether you Reject All or Accept All, it loads and can be used as normal. You could even activate Shields once again after. This shouldn’t be an issue and will be something that @fanboynz or others will adjust the Shields filters for here in the future, but at least is an explanation of what’s going on.
