Google Sheets Printing to PDF

Description of the issue:
Brave used to give printer options after you click print and next (in printer settings) inside of google sheets. When you try to print inside of google sheets it goes to printer settings, click on next at the top and it gives you a download pdf to file pop up box.

How can this issue be reproduced?
Print inside any google sheet, it will always ask to download as a pdf

Expected result:
Print to “selected” printer. Do not need a PDF of a google sheet (spreadsheet).

Brave Version:
Version 1.14.84 Chromium: 85.0.4183.121 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
I believe this was addressed on an older build of Brave, but for some reason the issue has resurfaced with this version of Brave.

if you use ctrl +p would it help or not

and have a nice day

Same outcome if I use ctrl +p, file print, or just clicking on the print icon within the sheet.

then sorry idk

let me ask someone from the team @Aa-ron to help you
and have a nice day both of you

I’m running into the same exact issue. The only way to print a Google Sheet to a printer is to first export as PDF, and then print the PDF. Printing the PDF works fine in Brave, though! Very annoying.

Thanks @justsomeone1. Fwiw, noticed same issue just today, with both ctrl-p and selecting from Sheets file menu. Printing is fine from other web pages.

you welcome do you mean that issue happen with certain site? if yes which site

@justsomeone1 This error (printing only to PDF file, instead of printing to the printer as expected) only happens with Google Sheets.

Printing from other sites prints the to printer as expected.

let me ask @Mattches for help here and have a nice day both of you

@rwdawg2,
Thank you for reaching out. Looks like I actually can reproduce this on my end – but only on Windows machines. Clicking Next in the first print dialogue option at the top right should take me to the browsers standard print screen (in macOS it does this). On Windows, as you described, I’m prompted to download a PDF of the Sheet.

Let me reach out to the team with this and see if we can get a fix in place.

I’ve opened the following issue for the developers to review:

I hope they get this resolved soon. I’ve been using a different browser because of this issue and would rather not…
