Do I need to enable “Google Services for Push Messaging” to receive Brave ads? Mine is disabled!

No. That setting is for web notification.
Can you share a screenshot of Brave Ads settings in your device? Also, see FAQ: Why am I not seeing Brave Ads? and make sure you have set it correctly.

I have received 4 or 5 ads so far, but they suddenly stopped, and I thought that it was because of the “Google Services for Push Messaging”.
I’ve read the FAQ and I understand that is normal not to receive ads for a while, I just wanted to know if everything is right with my browser. I will read the FAQ some more. If you want to see more screenshots, please let me know!
The fact that you received ads in the past, mean your settings is OK.
The number of ads you see is depends on the availability of ads campaign in your country and “match” found between your interest and the available catalog. brave.com/transparency
