Google Maps 3D Globe view issue after update to 1.16.68

I’m on Window 10 pro. With the latest update [1.16.68],Google maps lost the option of 3d globe view. I used different browsers with the same account, 3D view works normally. ONLY in brave[after updated to 1.16.68], google maps can’t show in 3D. I have tried relaunch hardware acceleration and forced google map in 3d mode link with no success. Also, Google Maps is forced into Lite mode with error message: "We’re sorry, only the lite mode of the new Google Maps is available at this time.?

  1. Google maps globe 3d view can no longer be use or found.

Multiple tickets have been reported, seems this is caused by the latest Brave update. No one from Brave/Google support is capable of responding to this issue yet.

I have the same issue. After the last update some features of Google Maps are lost. I miss the Google Earth view, the 3D view and the map rotation feature. Due to the fact that all works very well in Edge Chromium I’m sure that it’s not a problem with the latest Chromium but from Brave Browser itself. Turning Shield of in Brave don’t make any difference.

Info on brave://gpu/ shows that the WebGL is HW accelerated. Compared to Chrome, the only difference is that “Skia Renderer” is disabled in Brave.

Same issue here, same settings in brave://gpu/ as omicron.

I enabled the skia renderer in brave://flags/ via #enable-skia-renderer but this hasn’t solved the problem. So I’m not sure if this really is the problem here.

If I try to force the 3D mode in google maps via this link:

then I get the following error message in google maps:

which means in English:
