I’m trying to add a Google Mail account to OSX Mail app and in order to make it work I need to authenticate the account thru the Brave web browser. The problem is that clicking on the Open Browser button led me to nothing. There are no popups, no Google page displayed, etc So I’m stuck and don’t know how to proceed to add the new email account to OSX.
MacBook Pro, OSX 10.15.7, Brave 1.45.133

Do you have Brave set as your default browser in the system?
Yes. Brave ad default.
Can you change your default browser to something else and then try the same thing and tell me whether or not it opens when Brave is not your default?
I can confirm, this works with Safari as a default browser but not with Brave.

Thanks for your reply we appreciate the details. I’m inclined to think that this is happening due to something like an anti-virus software or a VPN connection. Do you have either of these enabled/running at this time?
