Glossary pop-up when highlighting a word

Recently changed mobile browsers [Chrome to Brave] and noticed a small feature I really liked, gone: When highlighting a word, it’d make a pop-up appear below; it would:

• Search highlighted word
• Give word’s definition by acknowledging context of the phrase
• Show more results by scrolling further
• Translation of the word from original language to user’s language
• Pronounciation of the word
• Type of word [ex. Adjective, adverb, etc.]
• A collapsible with more definitions and interpretations of the word

Kind of like a mini search bar, it really was useful when reading through sites.

Another thing I thought would be useful [and personally would enjoy] if implemented to this feature is including the etymology of the word.

I did notice that I can still highlight the word and search for more options then search it but, apart from being used to Chrome’s previously mentioned feature, it’s far more convenient and useful.
I also thought about people who wouldn’t like this feature and find it distracting, so to finish with this suggestion: I’d like this to be a default setting
If this already is a setting and I just couldn’t find it, I’d appreciate help to toggle it and only would want the etymology thing to be added

That’s about it! Browser in general is nice and this is a minor thing I’d enjoy having added.

Wiz_Ard, I’ve encountered the same issue, but if you change your settings, you’ll likely get your favorite feature back. The feature is called Google Touch to Search, and it only works with the Google search engine enabled. By default, Brave is set as your search engine, which prevents Google from displaying the definition pop-up. So, go to Settings, then Search Engines, and under both the Standard and Private tabs, select Google as your search engine. It worked for me! Let me know if it works for you too.
