Fullscreen only works as horizontal

Description of the issue:

I have multiple android phones and when I try to watch youtube in fullscreen mode it will not change it to horizontal mode but only stays in vertical mode.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. go to youtube in Brave Browser in Samsung Galaxy phones
  2. watch any videos and click fullscreen mode
  3. it will only stays in vertical mode not horizontal mode.

Expected result:

When you click on fullscreen mode in Samsung Galaxy android phones, it should rotates the size into horizontal not staying in vertical mode.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Brave 1.63.169, Chromium 122.0.6261.111

Samsung Galaxy s10+ (android 12; Build/SP1A.210812.016)
s9+ (android 10; Build/QP1A.190711.020)
s21 ultra (android 14; Build/UP1A.231005.007)

Additional Information:

It suddenly won’t rotate it’s mode when I try to watch youtube in fullscreen mode.

Tested with 2 browsers same issue. Vivaldi and samsung browser.

Same here. OnePlus Nord 2, Android 13.

It’s either from YouTube’s side(most probable) or Chromium’s side, since a lot of users including me are facing the same issue in the recent days.

Unfortunately it’s still an ongoing issue and may be for a short while till they figure it out…
