Description of the issue:
When brave is in full screen mode, the popup dialog box says ‘Press ESC and hold to close’ BUT, it does not close on my PC with Ubuntu 24.04, newer install of Brave, using Mate desktop. That popup box disappears after a second or two with no action from me.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Full screen mode only occurs when I fumble on the keyboard, pressing multiple keys when I’m not trying to. I have no idea which keys cause this.
- Only repeatable by accident.
- Which keys pressed cause this are unknown.
Expected result:
Pressing and holding ESC should reduce size of the full screen Brave display, as per the dialog box when hovering the mouse cursor near the top of the screen, but pressing quickly, or holding the esc key does NOT escape from Brave’s full screen mode. This seems to be a BUG.
Brave Version( check About Brave
):
1.74.51; 64 bit
Additional Information:
I have to reboot to escape Brave full screen mode. I have no idea if there’s a keystroke sequence that will do that and I’ve received no help from Ubuntu forums. None of the F keys close it.
