Brave Window Stuck in Brave Browser's Fullscreen

When I click the green button to make the Brave window fullscreen, it automatically puts Brave in fullscreen as well. Now I can’t see the other tabs that are open in my Brave window when it is in fullscreen. I tried pressing FN and F keys to get out of fullscreen but all that does is minimize the window on back and go back to main desktop. There is no way for me to get out of Brave browser’s fullscreen while still retaining Macbook full screen.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. When the Brave window is in the main desktop on a Macbook, press the green button to enter fullscreen.
  2. Do fn + F to enter Brave browser’s fullscreen.
  3. Minimize the Brave window.
  4. Now maximize the Brave window, it will go straight to Brave browser’s fullscreen, hiding the tabs and other buttons.
  5. Try pressing fn + F, all it will do is minimize the Brave window and move it back to the main desktop.

The expected result is that when I press fn + F, the Brave window’s fullscreen should be gone so that I can see the tabs and everything, but should also remain in Macbook’s fullscreen so that the Brave window has its own desktop.

Brave Version 1.64.122 (Apr 11, 2024)
I am using the Macbook version on my 2022 Macbook Pro M2.

@hamz,
Apologies but I’m a little confused by

Fn + F will enter or exit fullscreen mode in Brave. The behavior you’re describing in your steps is the expected behavior. If you want the browser to remain fullscreen but also see tabs/the toolbar, you can go to View on the menu bar at the top and select Always show toolbar in Full Screen or, use Shift + Command + F to show/hide tabs/the toolbar while in full screen mode.
